Trauma, Dissociation, and Sexuality

Dr. Mark Schwartz of Harmony Place Monterey presents a webinar for therapeutic professionals on the topic of "Trauma, Dissociation, and Sexuality."  As an interested layperson, I found the information on intergenerational trauma most enlightening, but it all pertains.  It rarely occurs to us that we may be unconsciously carrying the trauma of our parents or the preceding generations.

This is a deep mirror.  If you listen closely, you will find yourself somewhere in this material.  The broad sweep of treatment modalities this man has used in his therapeutic career has given him a unique breadth and depth in his assessment and treatment of various forms of trauma, addiction, and dissociation, leading to the eventual creation of healthy attachment in relationships.

And if you listen even more closely -- and honestly -- you'll begin to see your way out of your own particular psychological dilemmas, because he's plumbing to the roots, instead of focusing on the symptoms.  This is not meant to be frightening,  it's meant to be encouraging.  This is solid ground to stand upon and from which to make a shift in a positive direction in your own life.
